f you\u2019re wondering how to choose the right esthetician, start by checking their credentials. Then look at their experience, read reviews, and pay attention to how they treat you when you reach out. You should feel comfortable asking questions and confident that the esthetician is listening to what you want.<\/p>

Start by Checking Their Credentials<\/h2>

Ask whether the esthetician is licensed, and look for visible credentials on their website or in their treatment space. You can also ask them directly. A professional should be willing to answer questions about their training and experience.<\/p>

I\u2019ve been a licensed esthetician since 2000. I believe it matters that clients know who they\u2019re trusting with their skin and what experience that person brings.<\/p>

Ask About Experience and Read Reviews<\/h2>

Ask how long the esthetician has been working and read reviews from people who have booked with them. Reviews can help you learn what clients say about the service, communication, and results.<\/p>

Don\u2019t look at the star rating alone. Read a few comments and see whether clients describe the kind of care you\u2019re looking for.<\/p>

Notice How They Respond to You<\/h2>

The first interaction can tell you a lot. When you send a question through a website or contact form, notice whether you receive a thoughtful response. In my experience, some inquiries go unanswered or take hours or days to get a reply.<\/p>

A good esthetician should take your questions seriously. You should feel that they are paying attention to you, not rushing through the conversation or treating you like just another appointment.<\/p>

Ask How They\u2019ll Address Your Concerns<\/h2>

Before booking, tell the esthetician what you\u2019re hoping to address and ask what the process may involve. Ask what to expect, whether more than one treatment might be needed, and how they\u2019ll explain their recommendations.<\/p>

A Client Story<\/h3>

I once met a client in her 60s who was upset about the color of her eyebrows. She had gone elsewhere to have them redone, but the result was worse than before. I asked what had happened, what her experience had been like, and whether she knew much about the esthetician she had seen. I listened to her concerns and explained my recommendations and the process.<\/p>

It took two treatments, and I talked her through what to expect. In the end, she got the result she had asked for. She has continued coming to me for the past three months.<\/p>

You should feel like you matter. A good esthetician will take time to understand what you want and talk with you about the process before beginning a treatment.<\/p>

Experience, reviews, credentials, and attitude all matter. So does the way the esthetician treats you. If you feel ignored, rushed, or unsure about the plan, pause and ask more questions before booking.<\/p>
